On Your Marks, Get Set, Garden!

Open Learning Garden Design Diploma Graduate, Angie Turner, was one of four winners of the BBC Gardeners’ World Live and Royal Horticultural Society competition entitled "On Your Marks, Get Set, Garden”!

Angie’s garden is called The Peek-a-boo Garden and is a children's biodiversity garden. "My children inspired my garden!” Angie told us.  "I wanted to show that kids can be part of the garden whilst adults can still garden and not give it all over to a football field.”

The competition included a specific set of materials to be used, a tight deadline of only 20 days from brief to design submission and only a small budget for plants and labour costs.
