A
Unique and Realistic Training for Garden Designers
KLC’s
intensive one-year course in garden design
equips students for employment or to run their
own business. The course combines a unique
combination of design, plant knowledge, horticulture,
building construction and the all-important
professional practice. Lectures, visits and
workshops prepare students for the varied
and stimulating project work on gardens of
different types, styles and sizes.
Projects this year have included a large
riverside garden in Twickenham, a show garden
for Hampton Court Show Gardens and a balcony
for the offices of the prestigious Cardogan
Estates. The refurbishment of the exterior
and interior of a boutique hotel in Knightsbridge
was the challenge for this year’s group
project and our interior design and garden
students collaborated on this.
The next exciting project this year will
be the gardens of the magnificent Hartwell
House Hotel converted from a stately home
and set in ninety acres of landscaped parkland.
