Daily Telegraph/House & Garden Fair 2003
The theme for the KLC room
sets at this year’s Daily Telegraph
/ House & Garden Fair was AL FRESCO DINING.
The room sets were unique, original and highly
inspirational and once again proved to be
one of the most popular attractions at the
Fair:-
• IN
THE CITY: Joe Valenzisi and Jane Dansie,
graduates of the Interior Design & Decoration
Diploma 2001-2002. Taking inspiration from
high-rise city living, this room set brought
“the outside in”. The designers
envisaged this to be a penthouse with fabulous
city views.

• IN
THE COUNTRY: Sheila Moorcroft, graduate
of the Interior Design & Decoration Diploma
2001-2002. Sheila had been inspired by the
theme of a forgotten Victorian walled garden,
which has been “rediscovered”
in the 1920’s by lovers, who transform
the sadness of the neglected garden by their
romantic tryst.

• AT
THE SEASIDE: Caroline Aldridge, graduate
of the Interior Design & Decoration Diploma
1999-2000, Vicky Smith and Ally Wates, graduates
of the Interior Design & Decoration Diploma
2000-2001. The trio of designers put together
an enticing Scandinavian-inspired verandah
for relaxed holiday eating.

• THE
DESIGN PROCESS
was designed Victoria Blunden, graduate of
the Interior Design & Decoration Diploma
1996. Complementing the room sets, this stand
displayed the concept boards, sample boards,
visuals and plans behind AL FRESCO DINING
illustrating the Design Process.
• PLANTING
PLANS by Roz
Paterson, graduate of the Garden Design Diploma
2000-2001. Roz gave this year’s room
sets an added dimension by introducing planting
design plans into all the schemes.
